Sweden - May 13, 2008 - Troux Technologies today announced that Seco Tools, part of a global tools manufacturing group, has selected Troux’s strategic IT planning software platform, to support an enterprise-wide business transformation. Following an evaluation of Enterprise Architecture and Business Process Modeling software solutions, Troux was selected based on its ability to enable and support a number of transformations planned by Seco Tools’ executives.
Troux’s software platform and products unlock the power of Enterprise Architecture (EA) to support business initiatives such as corporate cost reduction, geographic expansion, business consolidation, and mergers and acquisitions. These initiatives require instant visibility into the interdependencies of the organisation’s applications, technology, processes and people.
"Troux alone offered the solid data platform that enabled the analytics which are vital to the success of our transformation initiatives," said Anders Lindahl, enterprise architect at Seco Tools. "Additionally, the breadth and depth of reporting to multiple stakeholders will enable us to communicate the success of our programs, which will in turn garner support for more comprehensive initiatives to grow market share and ensure our competitive edge."
Seco Tools will be implementing the newest version of Troux’s strategic IT planning software, Troux 7.1. In developing its latest release, Troux worked closely with a number of key customers to identify the most useful business and IT transformations including: Application Consolidation; Application Reduction; SOA Investment Planning; IT Simplification; IT Standards Management; Outsourcing; and Infrastructure Consolidation.
"The selection of Troux by Seco Tools is further validation of our ability to deliver the solutions required by companies which recognise the contribution of strategic IT planning to their ongoing success and competitive advantage," said David Hood, CEO at Troux. "We look forward to working with Seco Tools as it continues to apply the power of enterprise architecture to its business and IT transformation projects and maintain its market leadership." |
